Participants at Asheville House are transitioning from other therapeutic programs therefore it is critical that they receive on-going counseling support to best prepare for the transition back home.
Each participant is assigned a therapist who will develop an individualized program based on specific needs and goals. This plan takes into consideration parent input, past treatment history and an assessment of the participant.
Participants meet individually with their therapist to work on specific needs and challenges. Group sessions are held daily to help participants maintain accountability for their progress in the program and to gain emotional support from the group.
Many participants enrolled at Asheville House will have had struggles with substance abuse and addictions. The philosophy at Asheville House is to utilize the 12-Step program to offer the support and guidance necessary for participants to maintain their sobriety and prevent relapse.
Maintaining a healthy lifestyle, recognizing triggers and warning signs for relapse, and having an action plan creates the best opportunity for participants to maintain their recovery.
Asheville House believes that a combination of individualized treatment, group support, supervision, and increasing responsibilities best prepares our residents to return home healthy and ready for life’s challenges.
